Though Bradley is a powerhouse, he is the old blood in this match-up against the young Pacquiao. Bradley believes that he just might have an edge though because of his strict vegan training diet. Bradley first tried the diet in 2008 when preparing for a fight in London, UK. An adviser had suggested it might give him more energy and endurance. After trying the diet, Bradley was hooked.
"Dude, I swear, it's the most unbelievable feeling ever. I was able to outwork a lot of my opponents. The reason I love it so much is that I feel connected to the world. My thoughts are clearer, crisp. I am sharp. Everything is working perfectly—I feel clean. It's a weird feeling, man. It's just a weird feeling."Though Bradley swears by the vegan diet for training, he doesn't stick to it year-round. In his off-time he eats whatever he wants, including animal products. It is interesting though to see how the vegan diet can be beneficial even to elite athletes who need power and strength.
